I'm so glad to hear that the dog got a good home. So did the vet give you the a bill for the check up or did he bill himself. lol

But I have to say that nobody knows this dog was dumped. Yet the hate is flowing. Dumping dogs is horrible but this dog could have gotten lost. A determined dobie can climb a 6 foot fence. That poor guy could have gotten lost.

SarahBeth, in most cases I would agree with you, however, this poor dog is clearly starved. Even strays manage to find meals enough to not look like that. Also, the fact that callous were on the places where his bones stick through indicates he was like that for a very long time.

I am just delighted that this whole thing turned out so well!!!!

deb I was looking at pics of bluetick coonhounds today online. I have one that I love dearly. I came across this picture and was disturbed. That dog is seriously underweight. I emailed the site because I don't think anyone with a website dedicated to pets would be happy about the condition of the dog. I don't know if they will do anything about it but I sure wasn't happy.

Why would anyone be proud of the condition of that dog. Ugh.

Blue ticks actually have VERY VERY Thin hip areas, and while that poor thing looks like he could use a meal, the front half looks normal. Or she, if she just had pups she would be really sunken in in the back. Why would someone treat a dog like that and then post it on the internet? If I had my way I would own a HUGE no-kill shelter for all these poor things. Makes my heart break.
