Taking them to the vet to get the chick vaccinated this afternoon

- haven't gotten a good picture, (seeing as though every time we go near her she shoves the chick back under her...rest assured though, she has her face shoved in a food dish)

Hopefully I get a good picture while I'm at the vet

How are things going ? Years ago when the power was out for a few days I had a friend do the same thing with her parrot eggs.

Congrats on the new chickies everyone! :jumpy

Chicken Momma, I'm thinking I might attempt bra hatching soon & was wondering if you wrapped your egg in anything or do you just have it against your skin?

Also any pointers or anything you might do differently? Thanks!

I know that while I was doing it I had the eggs wrapped in cotton and I changed them everyday, I don't know how healthy it would be to keep it against your skin because you can't clean them first. From our personal experience the cleavage doesn't offer enough heat or humidity.

Thanks for answering my question Becky!

Cleavage doesn't have enough heat or humidity? Am I missing something? Where is best then? Thanks again :)

I think that the best place is under or on the inner side of the breast. Even a full coverage bra still doesn't allow heat to radiate the entire egg. Feel the difference between the heat and humidity between the cleavage versus under the breast. I would think the only time that you get enough heat in the cleavage is if you are doing manual labor and in that case I wouldn't even attempt to carry around an egg.

That's just in our experience.
