No Chick Crumbs, Only Grower

Hi, this is my first post on the site, but I've been lurking for a while.

I've completely run out of chick crumb as the shop didn't have any yesterday and didn't realise it was quite so low. The question is, can I feed my 4.5wk old chicks Grower (either for the day or from now on?), or should I stick with cooked egg for today?

A quick reply would be great so I can make my mind up.

This will be fine to feed. Every one says this and that. Really chicks can eat any thing thay want. Feed them grower even layer mash for a day or so to get by. Grower will be good for them At this age they don't need starter any more. Change to grower full time.

The only real difference between starter and grower food is the particle size, so they will be totally fine.

Thanks. So should I not bother buying chick crumb anymore? Have just checked the usual shop and they're still out, was about to go elsewhere..
