Good for you! By now you probably have your chickens although it took me years of dreaming, researching and studying chickens before we took the plunge. I am in wake forest too and would love to meet for coffee and talk chickens.

I asked about that years ago, having live threads presented and the zombie threads to read but not replied to. Others also wanted some division but, nothing changed.

Seems reasonable but that would have left me out. I came to BYC this year expecting to sign up, and found that I had done so in 2013 when I was still dreaming of chickens. My studying and researching and learning took me 5 years.

Well, that's no big deal... you just start a new thread. The problem with dead threads is most of the time the folks who posted to it are no longer active so you're talking to ghosts. So you're waiting on responses that will never come (or maybe they will... several years later).
