no color in her face

I have a 5 year old white leghorn that has been acting lethargic, has lost weight and has not been laying in about a week. Her comb is shrunk down and kind of deep red/purplish and her face has lost all of it's red color. I have her in a dog crate but in the coop because I have new chicks in the house. I have added crushed garlic in her water and have given her canned cat food mixed with yogurt. she has eaten a little of that also I gave a couple drops of nutria-drench. I also checked her vent, nothing going on there. didn't see any mites or lice. Is there anything more I can do?

They can look that way if they are molting, or with a mite infestation. I would examine her for the presence of mites around her vent and elsewhere, and repeat this at night since some only get on them at night. Look for any feather loss or rough looking feathers. Give 3 ml daily of the NutriDrench. Check her crop for evidence of sour crop or crop impaction--the crop should be empty by early morning and slowly fill up during the day. Check for diarrhea. Be aware that reproductive disorders at that age, such as egg yolk peritonitis, can be very common. Here is some reading:

I don't think you should feed her cat food everyday. It is not healthy for them.Look it up on google search.I think it is okay to give as a treat though.

They have been molting recently. I am familiar with lash egg. I had a flock of 12 leghorns and lost all but 3 from it. Her crop was empty this am. I will recheck her later when my husband is home and can assist me. Thank you

I don't normally give them cat food. I gave it to her as a boost because she was so thin. She passed away night before last.

I would consider coccidiosis. They can have all those signs and not have diarrhea. I would give her corid for 5 days. It won't hurt her but coccidiosis will kill.

Awe I'm sorry. If you have other birds, I would treat them all just to be safe as it can be passed thru the flock thru their poop.
