So I have 3 barred rock/ mixed pullets(?) that I adopted from a school with all coming from the same rooster. However, at 16 weeks 2 of them have pale, almost no combs and the other one has a deep red comb and waddle, there's no other difference between the 3 other than one of the pale pullets has yellow feet (does that indicate breed?). Is there something wrong such as worms?

At 16 weeks it might be a very early blooming pullet that is getting ready to start laying, but it could also be a cockerel. If it was a pure barred rock, it would be too dark to be a cockerel, since males are always double barred, but since yours you said is a mix that doesn't apply. Check the feathers around its neck and at the base of its tail and look for new feathers coming in that are shiny, long, skinny, and pointy, as those are signs of a cockerel, and I think I might see some coming in on that close up shot of its neck.

Looking at that now I see it! I had just always been told the only rooster would be that Easter egger mix, guess that was wrong! Thank you!
