Is anyone here successfully using No Crow Collar for silkie rooster? Please tell your story, post some tips and pictures. I can't find anything on silkies. A lot of information and videos are on regular size roosters. I've purchased small size no crow collar for my silkie from nocrowroostercollars.com. His neck is 4" and per website tips I added 1.5" so with this measurement he supposed to wear small size (6") no crow collar. I followed instructions: placed collar low on his neck, removed as many as possible feathers under collar. With collar placed on his neck I can still put my little finger under collar. Unfortunately collar doesn't affect his crowing at all: it's not shorter or muffled, he is not crowing less often. When I am making it tighter-my little tip of smallest finger barely gets under all of the collar's edges - his last note at the end gets muffled but the beginning of the crow is still strong (I don't leave him with a collar so tight during day because I am afraid it will choke him). But...when he is crowing while I am holding him in a garage, I can press certain spot on his neck with my finger and crow gets muffled. Please help!

I used the collars for two of my cockerels (not silkies). Unfortunately, it kept the crows muffled, but still loud enough for my neighbor to file complains... three times. But I found that the collar stunts hackle/neck feather growth.
In the end, they didn't work well enough no matter how tight/lose I had them and my roos were re-homed on farms.

Hello!! I know this thread is 2 years old......what did you end up doing? I’m in the exact same situation and need help for my sweet Silkies. Please give us an update

Thank you! I did check reviews on both sites: amazon and nocrowroostercollars.com On Amazon 190 reviews only 6 for silkie breed unfortunately they don't have tips and advice how to properly place collar on bantam breed.
Go to the ask a question section on Amazon. It will email that question to anyone who has purchased that collar and maybe one of them can give you some tips
