No crow rooster

Just got a new rooster on Thursday. He is about 10 months old, Lavender Orphington but I have not heard him crow yet. Could there be something wrong with him?

Yes I am home all day. I know I have had plenty of roosters and some crow all day. I have yet to hear him crow, he definitely knows what to do with the hens, I have witnessed that.

Any chance he's just very quiet? I have a bantam who crows only around 5pm and it's very quiet. I honestly thought it was someone's else bird in the distance until I finally caught in him the act.

sometimes if they are not a dominant rooster, they don’t crow. I heard that somewhere before

I'm thinking he's actually an Isabella. I see straw coloring.

He's probably still settling in. Sometimes they take a while to adjust

He has pointly hackles and long pointy saddle hackles. As well as long spurs. He is certainly a he.

Never said he wasn't . Isabella is a coloring with straw colored highlights on a lavender base
