No Duck Eggs?

Ducks have been known to wait to lay till spring, and my runners started up again in mid-winter one year. It's going to depend on the duck and her environment.

Mine did what your will probably do. She was of egg-laying age, but waited until spring to lay her first eggs ever. That is probably what will happen. It is all based on a length of daylight. You could do artificial lighting to get her to lay, but personally I am against that practice. It is always best to let nature takes it course.

You'll likely have till wait till after winter now. They'll likely start early spring when the weather gets warmer. However saying that we had chicks that started laying around December. We didn't get eggs every day but just on and off as they were just starting out. Your ducks may be like that.
