I had 5 Blue Wyandottes, never got an egg song ... They preferred me having to walk everyday, several times a day to check
I've had a hen do an egg song when others laid. Then again now that you mention it, I get more eggs than egg songs

I get this a lot. He sure looks like one, especially as a kitten!Oh yes, I have seen that happen on occasion ...... is that a Ragdoll in your profile pic? Mine is a Ragdolland the love of my life!
Oh my... I am convinced that he has Ragdoll in his genes!! The next one I get will look just like that! I love those colors! Mine is Pippin and he is a flame point.... Shiloh looks better than Pippin’s mom and dad... have you googled Ragdolls? He sounds like he has all the characteristics of the breed. Does he flop like a “Ragdoll” when picked up?I get this a lot. He looks simply enormous but is only ten pounds. Look at that fluff.
This is Shiloh. He has a fluffy white cat with a slim frame, triangular face and tilted, almond shaped eyes that suggest an Oriental background. Most of the cats from her farm were white cats, with a black cat for a father.
The father of Shiloh was unrelated, likely a black and white. He was a sport.
The only pointed cat in an otherwise white litter of four.
Snowbelle the mother also had another litter just like his with the sport a female this time.
They are sure funny! I would love to hear a rooster crow each day but I say that nowI've never heard an egg song either. I hear a little clucking from one Isa Brown first thing in the morning while she is sitting on the nest.
I just got a cockerel and he was in coaching my 3 yr old brahma one afternoon when she went to sit in the nest box.
He was making prettier sounds than I've ever heard from the girls.
I figure I am just missing their songs?
Maybe it is a breed thing too?
You are right! At least we get the eggs!! But it would be nice to get a heads upI had 5 Blue Wyandottes, never got an egg song ... I have looked them up several times and agree. The first was created with a domestic white cat for a mother just like mine though. He doesn't really flop, he just doesn't struggle until you sit down.View attachment 1529576 View attachment 1529577

If he has blue eyes and rabbit like fur than I do believe that a Ragdoll daddy happened upon that barn at some point... because, you see how light his fur was as a kitten and now is very dark? That’s what their fur does, it darkens with age as they are born completely white...I have looked them up several times and agree. I know, but all pointed cats are that way. Plus the only cats around here are spotted black, brown tabby or blueIf he has blue eyes and rabbit like fur than I do believe that a Ragdoll daddy happened upon that barn at some point... because, you see how light his fur was as a kitten and now is very dark?
