No eggs 7 months young chickens

My two chickens haven’t laid in 7 months. They saw 4 chickens get killed by foxes and primarily stayed in the coop for a while. The coop had been left open on accident two nights. But then appeared normal and healthy. They are good and come to me for meal worms abc look great. They have not laid since late July and it’s late January. Is there anything I can do with these chickens to get them laying in the spring? I really don’t want to let them go.

How old are they? If they aren’t elderly, I’d guess that by spring you’d get eggs again.

Molting and short winter days are most likely why they stopped laying. After the stress of the fox. Feed plenty of protien and keep oyster shells out they should start laying again. As the days get longer the girls will start back up.

They stopped laying so early in the summer…. Maybe stress the first month and then short days? They have not molted.

That is what I was thinking. The stress then molting or short winter days. Protien 22% and oyster shells. The days are starting to get longer.
