Hi...... Just wondering if there is a kickstart way to get my hens back laying........ I have three......The last one to go into molt, my EE, started laying eggs again little over a week ago....... the other two, a Rhode Island Red and a black sex link, started molting way before the EE and were fat and furry way before her.....but she is the only one laying! I am letting them free range, am feeding winter layer's feed and supplementing with whatever I have handy..... any ideas to get these other two girls going?

Provide a supplemental light (not fluorescent) for the best results.
Give warm water in the winter ;)
You can also temporarily feed the girls pepper flakes in an attempt to kick start their laying, they can't taste the capsaicin but it has helped my friends birds get back into laying after a molt.

What do you feed your layers?

It's a winter layer's feed that is supposed to have a higher protein to get them laying again.... it's kind of icy outside right now or I would tell you the name of it. Do you have a specific kind that you use?
