So the change of the season is upon us and we traditionally clean out the coop and run and dust both with DE, We also lay fresh straw down in the coop and change out the nesting boxes with clean linen. Then we cover the entire run with plastic and set a timer in both for 10 hours of light. Eventually, we will cut more air holes into the run for cross ventilation. We are not getting any eggs and can not figure out why? Yes the girls went through a molt, but I have 25 girls I should be finding 1 or two eggs somewhere between the coop and run. The only other detail to share is we use sand in the run and I am fighting scaly leg with 8 of them. Can anyone help us understand what might be the issue here? Appreciate everyones input as always:)

I assume your birds are more than 18 months old?

10 hours isn't enough.
Here's a pretty good article on supplemental lighting.

DE won't kill much of anything...rub vaseline up under scales to kill Scaly Leg Mites.

Pics of coop and run would help here.
