No eggs in two months this is a problem!

I guess I will just keep the light the same and work on patience. The girls are getting redder and checking out the nest boxes again so we will see. I just hate the taste of store bought eggs and I have been eating them for two months so I am getting tired of it

I have only gotten a few eggs in the past several months. I suspect I have an egg eater (or 2) and haven't been able to catch them. My duck eggs are diappearing too.

How do you manage to do that ?

Short of painting a number on the side of our 9 white leghorns and sitting in the coop all day, I can't imagine how I'd keep track of who laid what......but I'd SURE like to !

I don't think I could do it if I had 9 Leghorns! LOL

I have a very mixed flock of 13 laying hens. I get 10 brown eggs, in various shapes, sizes and hues. Plus 1 white egg, 1 blue egg, and 1 green egg. I only have 2 eggs out of the bunch that I have trouble telling the difference between them. Those 2 ladies are sisters. True sisters. Their eggs are very similar!

Once upon a time I had 4 Blue Andalusians, which all laid white eggs. Three of those eggs were super hard to tell apart. Almost impossible, really. Then the fourth girl laid a huge, roundish egg, so that one was easy.

ya I couldn't do it I have to many of each breed. I used to be able to when I had one or two of each breed but now there are two many Marans and Ameraucana. Maybe I will build a trap nest
