No eggs for 4 days in a row . . .
Problem = stress (for chickens, not me LOL)
Last Thurs and Fri I had grandchildren who are too excited and loving to the chickens - (think 3 year old running after girls cooing in a very loud shrill 3 year old voice "here Lady, her Princess!!"and 7 year old swinging in a hammock with them). Then when the kids left, my DH decided to work on the chicken area for 3 days . . .dismantle the run, move and clean out the coop area, take winter plastic that was surrounding the pen off, etc. in prep for a new coop being delivered in a couple of weeks. Then yesterday we raised their coop up 1 inch which made the pop door ramp a bit steeper, and the girls couldn't figure out how to get back into the coop.
We'll see how long it takes for them to get used to the current "Spring mode" set up . . . then we'll have a new, bigger
coop delivered in a couple of weeks which they will then have to adjust to and be stressed again . . . plus one is coming off of being broody and looks like another one is in light molt. might be memorial day when I see another egg.
