No eggs YET!!!

I have seven - and the first one laid at 22 weeks 6 days - the last one finally laid at 26 weeks 4 days. It'll happen...but it sure is hard waiting for that first egg.

Mine sing it too: "bokbokbok BOK! bokbokbok BOK! bokbokbok BOK!" usually after she lays. She's a 20 week Delaware. I think it's so funny

My question is-- do they continue to do this forever? Or only because it's a new thing?

Mine always do. My BO's are the worst, they will loudly tell everyone for at least 10-15 minutes after they have produced an egg. The silkies are almost as bad, but since they are always broody I don't hear them as much.

No, Chrissy is a new hampshire, and from what I've read they are an early layer... There is no way she could be hiding them. They are in a coop and pen all day, except when we let them out for about 2 hours at about 4 pm. She doesn't do exactly the egg song, but she sounds like she is growling... its more of a rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaa sound. Also my production red, Georgia is getting bigger headgear ayayayayayayyyyyyyyy yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy
