Location is northern Washington state. Currently have 2 Delaware Yellow, 3 New Hampshire Red, and 1 Americana all 2 years old. Lost 4 hens to predators before building a fenced in coop about a month ago. Have been using a heat lamp in lower area of coop during freezing weather for 2nd year. Laid fine for first 2 weeks of new coop then just stopped. Eating and drinking well, no change in food. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated as I am new to this. How old are these birds? What breeds are they? How long have they been laying prior to this interruption? Any recent changes to feed or flock members (additions or removals)? When was the light added in relation to the stoppage?
Electric timer door opens 8am closes 6pm Girls out every day with visits and snacks. Parts of roof extend to give dry areas.Assuming it's "freezing" still? Do you allow the girls out? I'm lost but lets ask ...

If it's cold out I wouldn't worry about it.. I have a big drop in egg production when it's cold.. but when it warms back up the egg production picks up.my chickens have not laid for about a week. Not molting or sick. extremely cold weather but have heat lamp in coop. would appreciate any information as I am new to chicken keeping.
