I have 4 lavender orpingtons and 4 barred rocks hens that were born in may. None of them have started laying yet. All 12 of my new austrolrps were laying at this age. I'm worried that because they didn't get finisher feed that it affected they're laying. Maybe I'm paranoid.

Odds are the EE won't lay until after 30 weeks. They're in the 6+ month category
I’ve read so many varying opinions in their lay age! I’ll just count on spring and be happily surprised if they lay sooner! Lol spoiled freeloaders!

@Lovem all i am in the same boat with my first flock. 23 weeks old today, EE and still no eggs. Lord bless me the strength to be patient and let nature take its course
Good thing we can't induce labor in chickens or they would be in trouble! About every other day someone is posting because their pullets have not started laying like the books say.:D

That's a great way to look at it! I had an EE lay at 20 weeks and I was shocked, the others didn't lay until 24 weeks.
