No Eggs?

Good thing we can't induce labor in chickens or they would be in trouble! About every other day someone is posting because their pullets have not started laying like the books say.

You know, I adore them regardless if they lay eggs or not. But I mean it would be nice! Lol oh well they will lay when they are ready and mama will have to be patient.

They should start laying soon. Waiting on the first egg is very exciting and my impatience always shows during this time.
Please post pictures of your first egg when it comes!!!

I’ll definitely be posting pictures! I’ll be so excited I’m likely to take out an add in the announcement section of the local news paper

I'm worried that because they didn't get finisher feed that it affected they're laying.

What are you feeding them?

I’m having the same problem with a white leghorn. She’s 24 weeks and still no eggs!

First thank you everyone for responding, I was very busy with work and chickens so sorry I didn't answer right away. My chickens all eat layers hen feed, all from my ten year old down to my short little pullets. I think I was just paranoid that it hurt them or messed them up not to get finisher feed. After posting this two of my girls are now really interested in our egg box and one even layed on some eggs. Thank you all. Looks like all is good lol. (Also I would have all my chickens even if they all didn't lay eggs. I love my babies.)
