We have 5 hens. Just about 7 months old. 4 have not starting laying at all. The 5th has been laying for about 3 weeks and stopped this past weekend and has not restarted. They get pellet layer, water, and cracked corn treat everyday.

They hae also started sleeping on their nest boxes and not the pearches.

Any ideas why they are not all laying?

Chickens are so......difficult to figure out!

I see you are in WA too. It's been much hotter over here than it has been all summer. This could be why they aren't laying. Also, I've read that corn can raise your chickens internal temp and isn't a super healthy treat. You may want to cut that down while it's so hot out. For treats, I give sunflower seeds or left over foods (fruits and veggies). Good luck! I hope you start seeing some eggs soon!

interesting...not sure I can help....

what is the weather like, colder, hotter...any other changes in their area?

That is odd...they should all be laying daily by now.
Sorry I couldn't help, didn't want you to think you were ignored!

I hope someone else can help you out...

It is "hotter" than normal but I don't know if they would know that since this is their "first" year.
I only ige them a small handful of cracked dorn at night, they won't go into their coop without it. They are as spoiled as my children!
