No emergency yet: Lethargic pullet

She seems to have a very mild respiratory infection (maybe, I can't tell for sure it's so mild - she just sounds a little..hoarse maybe?) but is impacting her in no way that I can see.

Are you familiar with VetRx? It would be perfect for what you are describing. Rub a little it into her her comb, her waddles and underneath both wings so when she tucks her head under a wing for a nap she can get a little aromatherapy. It’s like Vick’s Vapor Rub for chickens.

And do you have any probiotics you can add to her water to help out her immune system?

Both of these things can really help, especially when combined together. 👍🏼

No, but it sounds great. I'll get some!

I can't control their water, they free range and drink out of puddles, downspouts, a creek, the neighbor's horse trough, you name it. I would assume they get plenty of gut bacteria this way tho!

Oh that’s right! I remember you mentioning all of the places your birdies can get water from in your thread. So even though they have access to all of those different places to get water, do you offer them a waterer near their coop or anything? If not, maybe a smaller waterer would be helpful so that you can offer them a water source (and add whatever you feel would beneficial to them) as well. :)

I really like VetRx. I’ll attach a picture of it so you have it for reference:

Absolutely! They have fresh water in their coop and in the area they tend to congregate outside when it's raining.

I was thinking of doctoring them up a bit with some calcium and ACV in one and some probiotics in the other. The roos never touch them, but some of the hens do.

Thanks for the photo!
