I've had Sheila in a sling suspended n her cut is fully healed n she is lively as can be. It's just I have found out while she was in her sling, she cannot feel anything below the break point. Poke or touch anywhere on the good leg n she acknowledges the smallest touch. Nothing for the other side. I've thought about amputation.....Can she make it with 1 leg? What should I do? Any advice is welcome.

I have a similar problem with my hen, I didn't realize this was a new thread and I was hoping someone would have replied to it so I could use the advice. I just noticed my hen's injury. She is limping and can not feel her talon below the knee. How did you make her sling?

I made mine with a fabric shopping bag, duct tape, and a storage tub. I cut the holes like the drawings show (had to make the poop hole lil bigger). I had issues in the beginning because it was a little too low so make sure she is fully elevated to where her good leg is unable to push off anything. I hope this helps.

Sadly, Sheila didn't make it. She was doing really well so I had her out with her flick sunbathing n so on. Over 2 hours they were great, the my daughter said before she could get to em all of them had surrounded and attacked her. She didn't make it
