No Frogleggin Tomatoes!

If you do like I do, love the homegrown tomatoes, I would order one without the tomatoes and check to make sure the order has NO tomatoes.

I would bring it to my car and pour my own tomatoes on the tacos, just delicious!!!!!!!

Problem isn't the tomatoes, problem is the fact that lots of these people working in service jobs just don't care what kind of service they give. (please note I didn't say everyone. some go above and beyond)

My DH surprises me with a banana split the other night.

He knows how I like it. Extra pineapple NO NUTS. I take one spoonful, slow take in it's cool smoothie goodness, and start spitting and grabbing for benedryl.

Not only did they put nuts on it, they knew it was wrong because they tried to cover it up with extra whipped cream!!

DH calls the place back and tells them what occurred. They have dimwits working their this night. Too busy posing for the cute boys that come in and texting to pay attention to their job. DH calls the manager the next day who apologizes all over himself and rips his staff a new one.

I now get free banana splits when ever I want!!!

A little off topic, but what's up with the "Taco Bell Dinner Kit" you can get at the store? I mean...who buys that? If you have enough drive and ambition to actually make food at home, why in the world would you endeavor to replicate what is quite possibly the worst drive-thru food you can buy?

It's like..."Gee, I'd really like to have Taco Bell tonight, but it's just too hard to order. I know! I'll spend a half hour of my time and dirty up all my pots and pans and dishes and make it myself!"

And..what's in that box, anyhow? What could possibly be in that box besides shells and a bag of seasoning? A few more packets of the sauce you probably already have hiding under the seat of your car, maybe?

I mean, the only other thing they could add to that box to make it authentic Taco Bell would be some dehydrated tomato cores and a baggie of bone fragments..

LOL

Ok, scarey story. Brother had a cabin while they while they were having their house built. No bathroom. He had an outhouse put down the bottom of the hill.

One night he had to, ah, "go". Instead of going all the way to where the outhouse is, he grabs his trowel and heads outside.

A couple of months later they had tomato plants growing out behind the cabin!

We eat those all the time. They taste NOTHING like taco bell, and yes its just seasoning, shells, and beans and rice if you buy the burrito kit like we do. It might take a little longer, but you know EXACTLY when it was cooked, whose hands touched it, how long its been setting out, and how fresh the toppings on it are. They are REALLY good. We love tacos, and those are the only kits they sell here.

Oh, and you only need one skillet. I love to cook, and I really think people need to spend more time doing it. Its fun, and it makes you feel good that you made (and sometimes grew) the food with your own hands. It always tastes better, and is 100 times healthier, than anything you can buy through a fast food window. Even if you don't want to spend a lot of time, you can cook tons of meals that take 30 minutes or less.

I totally understand that sometimes mistakes happen. I am generally very understanding of mistakes and I am usually very polite when I ask for it to be fixed. I absolutely HATE it however, when I have been polite and sometimes even gone to the extent of driving back to a place to have an order fixed and they don't even offer up an apology! For goodness sake, are we all so high and mighty these days that we can't even say a simple "I'm sorry"? Those two little words can really do a lot to calm down someone who is upset and not uttering those words can go a long way to make someone like me mad.
