NO HATCH...WHAT DID I DO WRONG?????

Cynthia, you are the sweetest. I'll pm you when I know a good day if that is ok. I think I'll spend some time looking things over and testing temp and humidity. Probably should clean bator again also. I'm nervous though.

Were these shipped eggs? How sad that you did not get any hatched. Did you candle the eggs?
Which days and what did you see?
The temps and humidity sound just right.

Nope, I went and picked them up. Just looked at all of them. All formed, and dead. I know I did some thing wrong at the end. Just gotta figure out what. Something..... just at the very end..... failed.

They sure would have been pretty......

Lori, I'd first really check your instruments to eliminate that possibility that they are a bit off. They did develop, at least, so you were certainly doing something right. I'll start collecting for you when my other customer picks up her eggs tomorrow and we'll go from there. In some hatches, I'll have all hatch nice and clean, not even a mess in the bator, then one will end up dying at about 18 days and become shrinkwrapped in the membrane. The fact that the others hatch as well as they do and with no mess or rough navels tells me the temp and humidity values are correct, but perhaps there was something wrong with that one chick. Could have just be slightly malpositioned or something else. Sometimes you just never know. It's disappointing that none made it out, I know. Try again with these new eggs and I bet it does better for you this time around. If not, I'll hatch you some here and you can just pick them up.

Like Dory says...." just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming, swimming, swimming...."

Just keep hatching, trying, hatching...

I'm so sorry about your hatch...I know it was important to you. From experience...try not letting your humidity go over about 40% for the first 18 days. Then only up it to about 65%. Be SURE to have your vents open for good ventilation.

Remember, an egg needs to lose about 14% of it's weight (water loss) before day 21. Make sure that air cell is getting larger along the way. It should be about 1/3 of the egg by day 21. The egg should feel very light...like picking up a chick...by day 21.

Good luck....try again!!
