did i do wrong by shifting 4 chicks that were 1-2 days old to the brooder?
Not at all! I actually whip out my quail soon after hatch because they dry out so much faster in a brooder (as long as it's warm enough), especially if there are other siblings already dried off to snuggle up to. And I don't want them escaping the container I hatch them in and getting stuck somewhere in the incubator (the Button quail chicks are so tiny they could get themselves stuck anywhere)!
