No incubator

Silly birds molting at the start of winter. Hope they know how to knit cuz they might get a bit chilly. Mine just started laying so the eggs are small, double yolked and having 13 hens not getting 13 eggs a day. High count is 9 so far.

Moulting is over just no eggs yet. It's really windy and wet here right now. Summers are like 115 but we've been on the 20s and 30s lately, so don't think I'll be seeing any until maybe next month.

You know you could throw an incubator together for under 20 bucks and try some of those pullet eggs out.

Wolftracks,
My Marans took an extended vacation also...
I started to think something else was wrong...............
Then Tues...I got two eggs...........whew.
Sorry, a little off topic.

I used to be able to put things together, but I'm kind of dingy these days. Incubators are easy though. Lots of directions on this site and I swear they work great.

Toni how long did it take for your birds to start laying again? When was it they stopped?
