I have used this set up for feeding and watering my 2 Mallard ducks for about 6 months since they were about 1 month old and it is amazing how well it has worked.
The rectangular and square pans catch the excess water and food as long as you keep the two adjacent to each other. I cut a plastic chopping board to fit inside the food tuperware pan and screwed a plastic bowl to it with a fender washer...best to use stainless steel fender washer and screw. Not only did this catch the mess, but they not once turned either one over.
Who said ducks can't eat and drink without making a mess!
