No more brooder on the floor.

My TSC had 2 rabbit hutches on clearance this spring for $30 so I snagged them both and instead of putting the backs on I attached them to each other for a brooder. I set the roof panels on when we are not in the basement with them and at night. We can reach in the side to get to them too. Once I am done with using it for a brooder I will disassemble and it stores flat. If I need it to seperate a bird or two I can use them too.

I was just there today. I should have looked. They had a return on 2 older pekin ducklings and I hsvd been looking for older ones. I told them I would be in for the ducks and to put my name on them, by the time I got there another employee sold them. I was not happy:(

This would work too. They are both under 100 dollars

I have this one, I got it on Groupon and it is TINY. I put four chicks in it and they barely had enough space. If you’re only raising a handful and introducing them to the coop ASAP, it might be okay, but its use is limited. I think it would be good for a broody hen to sit in or for newly hatched chicks for maybe a 7-10 days. It was trouble to fit the chicks, their food, water and heater inside.

Did you line the wire? Love to see pictures.
I put a dish dry cloth from the dollar store under the heater and paper towels where they walk a lot, just next to the heater. I have the feeder on the wire with a pan under on the slide out tray to catch the wasted feed. This is working amazing! When their feet are a little tougher, I won’t need the paper towels. It’s so easy to keep clean. I actually have one more to put together for my next batch of babies. Plenty of room for growing and tall enough for roosting.
