That's deffinatly my ideal set up for indoor coturnixs by far!!!!!!! thanks for the pictures!!!! Now I have great ideas for when I have my first house and start bringing the quails indoors!

At that temp, i highly doubt they're cold, esp at 4 weeks old theres no way, because if that was a case mine would be freezing lol! (its 61 in the house).

Anywhooo, it does sound like just piling but it's still odd, are theybeing really skddish? I saw that someone rounded corners out in their brooders to avoid piling. Mine dont/have never piled so I am not sur eif it works but it may be worth a shot!

I will try that. I had the fish tank light on them and no deaths today. I guess they are afraid of the dark? They are extremely sweet and friendly. not skittish at all. They love to let me pet them.

Thats awesome! I cant wait to hear my buttons and cortunix crow. They make all the sounds in the morning that are cute.

Thanks for the compliments, it was definitely all my son's talent, that's for sure. What I should have added, was that there are 50 quail in there right now, but he is building a second cage on top of the first as 50 is just two many in that cage, but I forgot!

Will try to post some pictures on my BYC page just as soon as I can, ChickenLady! Since we are remodeling, adding on and building up our mini farm all at the same time, things are a little crazy around here!

Nikki28-if I let you borrow my son, I would be that much further behind!!!
