No more eggs?!

I have had that happen before. For no clear reason the birds will abruptly stop laying. Pullets can get going then stop and take a break. I have had that happen and when they start up again, they lay. Currently many of mine are now going through their yearly molt and the egg production does fall off. Up to 3 days ago I have been getting around a dozen eggs from a coop. For the past 3 days, not one egg. I put a camera out there this evening to see if there is a reason or if they just suddenly stopped. I will be putting all of the birds on higher protein feed while they are molting. I know they don't all molt as once and have different degrees of molting (heavy or light molts) and some take longer to go through their molt. My youngsters are on a higher protein grower feed. When they start to lay I'll switch them over to layer feed. My birds all get a seed/grain mix for treats in the evenings when I collect the eggs. We have several acres but I don't free range anymore because of past losses but the birds all have very large pens. Actually when I have been out and working on the coops I have opened a gate and they could come out but rarely do. I think they feel safer in their pens but we do have a lot of predators, mostly coyotes. Most every night I see one on one of my game cameras. Good luck and have fun...
