The chirping has stopped and still no signs of pipping through the shell. Have had a very sleepless night

Yes can def relate-- we heard chirping yesterday but got too excited and lifted up the hen I think the egg rolled over-- and the chirping stopped, and never did get an external pip (alter the eggs were eaten by my dog after the hen abandoned the nest to take care of the 1 chick that hatched out the day before)....

So I def advocate leaving it be and being super careful with the eggs.... Good luck!
