I have a silkie x bantam egg in my Brinsea mini Eco incubator and today is day 20. The egg has been incubating at a consistent temperature of 37 degrees celcius. Shouldn't the egg be pipping or atleast wobbling by now? This is my first hatch with an incubator.

Temperature should be closer to 37.8 Celsius - try bumping up the humidity too. But I am on day 20 and just now got my first two pips so don't worry just be patient.

The incubator comes with a thermometer and I can only change the temperature with a small screw driver so I hope that 37 degrees C is ok. 37 was the set temperature for the incubator

If you have the temp a little cooler than it should be, the chick will develop a little slower. Give her a few more days, and try to get it as humid as possible in there.
One way you can get the temp a little warmer without changing any settings, is covering the whole incubator with a towel or blanket.

Thanks ill try covering the incubator with a towel. If its on lockdown is it ok to open the incubator up to add more water? I don't want to cause complications

I know it's not easy, but try not to stress! If the temp has been a fraction low, hatching may be delayed by a day or two. My last hatch was with a lower temperature, and chicks were two days late. Go and have a coffee and don't open the lid!
