No quack, no curly feather, fully feathered. Drake?

More like “moip moip moip “ and very quiet.

However, I think I heard legitimate quacks this afternoon when I took ice out. The duck in question was off to the side of me while the others were right under foot and I think I heard quacks from that direction. Maybe it’s just shy and is now getting comfortable, it’s still a very young duck and doesn’t lay yet if it’s female.
Sounds kind of like my drake Molly...yes Molly (Molly Lucielle, to be exact). When he was born he was the tiniest most petite little thing. I was certain he was a girl. Fast forward, I have a spectacular Alpha drake named Molly Lucielle 🤣🤣

He made a similar noise to what you're describing so I'm thinking you probably have a boy on your hands 🦆

Ripley is a girl. Not laying yet, but she’s comfortable enough to demand food from me when the others are off laying eggs. She quacks, she’s just not as loud as Connor who is rather chatty and loud.
