Got three Isa Brown pullets, around 30 weeks old last week. Today I let them out and about in our large garden for the first time. Two are very happy, foraging around and doing as expected. They both laid this morning. The third one (named Ruby by my daughter), was behaving a bit strangely for most of the day- first she would peck around happily, then she would find a corner and sit for awhile, shaking her head periodically and closing her eyes. After I put them back in the hen house this evening I saw a shell-less egg on the path. What's going on with her? Please help- do i need to suppliment her feed with shell-grit or some kind of high-protein feed? Thanks.
