no shell!!!!!!!!

    one of my 4-5 month old layers laid a egg with no shell! they dont have a calcium source yet, just a few eggshells, but why is this?

    They need calcium to be able to make hard shells...

    yeah, i feed them some eggshels, and am getting a solid supply of oyster shells ASAP

    It's just a "hiccup" in her egg laying cycle. Unless it happens all the time, I wouldn't worry about it.
