No signs of hatching on day 21?

They still are showing no signs of hatching despite an obvious embryo inside. I find it hard to believe but all 9 eggs must somehow be dead in the shell. Should I try to assist hatch them or give them another day?

Where did you get the eggs from? Do you consider them valuable? Someone suggested sacrificing one. Maybe open a small hole in the air cell, take a qtip, wet the membrane and if the chicks alive you will see it breathing/moving under inner membrane.

The eggs are from a hen of ours who was fertilized by a local rooster. The eggs are very important to me but I guess I will sacrifice one for the good of the others. I'll try your method of making a small hole in the air cell end and proceed from there.
