No sleep for Wolf tonight..

I don't mind the big spiders outside. The Wolf Spiders and the various Garden Spiders. I don't mind them one bit. We get some large ones and we see how big they can get during the season.

One year we had a yellow and black garden spider make her home right outside our living room window. I would sit on the couch, just inches away from her(on the other side of the glass) and watch her spin.

LOL Kim!! Sooooo Know the feeling!! Not a spider fan and they meet the backside of a fly flap everytime in my house. One in my bed would keep me up too...for days probably! I had an enormous yellow and black garden spider between two bushes one year..she had her space and I had mine and a long as that's where she stayed we were fine..we had an understanding!!! Yep, empathize with you girl, not a spider fan..glad you caught it or wondering where it was hiding would drive me totally nuts!!

AAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!            I would have burned the house down! I am absolutely terrified of spiders. Now a snake...no biggie I have them as pets. But a spider. I pass out...seriously. We get some pretty big ones around here. And I HATE it. I wish I was not afraid. I wish I could be afraid of something that we don't have in Ohio like scorpions. But no, it has to be spiders. :thun

I feel for you Kim, I live in a 109 year old house that has it's share of spiders. I can handle them just fine until I step into the shower and find one in there with me. Ugh.

At least it wasn't a mouse. ick! I've had that experience once and couldn't sleep for days! I used to tell all the spiders on my ceiling in my dorm room "Good Morning" They were wolf spiders so I wasn't scared of them.

we had a brown recluse in our garden two summers ago. freaked me right out, because she had eggs!

we love spiders, bugs etc., but a recluse is no joke. they are not aggressive, but if provoked or you touch them...look out. it is a very serious thing like Purple stated.

good thing Wolf that you were safe. although you will probably suffer from 'formication'. read it twice...not the word you think. formication is the feeling that bugs are crawling all over you.
ack.

Ha! I gave into exhaustion about 4 o'clock in the morning. I had been talking with PC, but I guess he decided it was time for him to sleep as well. So, I decided it was time for me to try and recover from my pleasant surprise.

Ventured back into my bedroom, which was still in disarray with the lights still on, TV playing, and bedding sprawled about the place. I neatly uncrumpled by comforter so there were no wrinkled hiding spots. I searched every inch of the blanket, then flipped it over and searched the other side. Picked the comforter completely off the bed, in order to reveal the vast majority of the sheet below. Once the I deemed the sheet clear, I moved on to the pillows. Looked over each pillow carefully, flipped them over, and removed them from their normal position to reveal the sheet beneath them. All clear, no arachnads or bugs that could be seen.

I did experience formification, my newly learned word, for most of the night and on into today. I keep swiping at my shoulder, particularly the one my "friend" had wanted to snuggle with. It does not help that I have long hair, it only furthers the sensation of creatures crawling across my skin.

I was awoke to the sound of the phone ringing. It took my quite awhile to come to, as I missed the first call. My cell phone rang after it, both of which are located beside my bed. I answered the phone only to hear Adam on the other side telling me that his youngest dog had been snacking on the toes of our quail. It was now Noon.

So, I did get some sleep, enough to be functioning sanely after a cup of coffee.

Give me a snake or rodent anyday. I would rather have either over a spider.

The thing that worried me the most is that I thought it was a Brown Recluse and it was in my bed. My bed is my area, MY AREA. LOL. My safe-spot, my sanctuary from the rest of the world and I was going to have one of the worst native spiders in it. *shivers* Blah! Quite the night.
