Hey there, this is my first time raising chicks. They are about to turn two weeks old and are living in one of my bathtubs. I was hoping to keep them in here for another couple weeks before moving them to a different room, because the bathroom is warmer. They do also have a brooder plate. There's no window in this bathroom though so they aren't getting any natural light. Is that going to be a problem? I have a happy light I could leave on for a while if that would help.

Not a problem. They need enough light to see to eat and drink during the day. They are fine if it is dark at "night" whenever you decide that will be.

Some people keep lights on 24/7 when raising them. Some give them a dark time. They do well either way.

Same here except we don't have any windows. I was worried that'd there would be an issue with not getting enough vitamin D or something.

Get the coop done (if it isn't) and move them out - if you can run electricity out there, they can go out at any time, otherwise it'll depend on temperatures. Either way it shouldn't be an issue unless you're keeping them inside for an extended period of time.

Thanks for the suggestions! They're only two weeks old today. My coop is just a tractor style and the current adults free range in the yard during the day, so no electricity. I was planning to keep them in the bathroom for another week or two because it's warmer, and then move them to a room with a window, and outside between six and eight weeks.
