No sympathy please

My own fault. Came downstairs this am bathroom run. Missed the last step. What is that $1k railing for? Really, missed the last step. Small area at bottom of steps. Legs up underneath me. Hit head over right eye on window frame. No bruise there. HMMM hard headed I can't believe that LOL. But sure did bruise the shin of my left leg. Can walk or limp however you want to describe it. Bumped right knee, hot no bruising. So now I really look and act like an old lady. No LOC. Thank God. Did almost fall off toilet. Vanity saved me. LOL again. So now the light is ON all the time coming and going up stairs. OMG Dumb can be fixed, stupid is forever. Let's hope I'm just dumb for the last time. Next time will be stupid. Thanks for reading. I think I'm gonna live.

ETA: I think I sprained my left big toe. Hurts like H**L but not deformed. NO ICE. Thanks the new thing now. ICE stops bleeding but you want blood to go to the injured area. Did lie down and put leg up. Bruised up terrible even before I got up. Did ring my bell but pupil equal and reactive.

Be careful. Stairs have become more difficult for me as I've grown older

I love sleeping upstairs Always have But I do have a railing and a light. So no need for this to EVER happen again. NEVER.

Had it happen to me going down a very short set of stairs, with wooden banister . But I was holding a box too large for me to see around. When I decided I had reached the bottom stair, I stepped down. Mistake was another stair left. Went into wall at bottom of stairs careened off- knocked some cobwebs out of my brain and banged up my knees.

What made me do that???

Update: As if ya'll really wanted to know. Right knee stiff but I've been exercising it. Back in the last century I was a Certified Orthopedic Nurse. Seen lots of PT's at work. So now I can walk pretty good. Left leg still quite bruised right on the shin bone. Nothings broke. Now have start of a shiner on right eye right below eyebrow and out into my crowsfeet. Just pale blue got that eye socket bone good. Window frames are hard. Left great toe still hurts like H**L and now have dark blue bruise between it and the second toe. Not deformed and I can't quite figure out how it happened must have caught it on one of the steps. Either the second one or the bottom one. Geez. I don't think Grace fits.
