They are now in lock down, but i am struggling with getting the humidity up to 65%. I have the entire bottom filled with water plus two sponges and damp paper towels covering the floor, and the humidity is only at 56%.

Well, if you can't get it up higher, then just make sure that you don't open it once they start pipping. Once they actually start hatching it will jump a bit naturally. Good luck. Hope you get some cute fuzzies!!

If the whole thing is filled with water and wet sponges and it's showing 56% I am thinking your hygrometer is off.

I was thinking the same thing! is there any condensation on the windows of the incubator?

I have my first pipping little peeper!!!

Almost exactly as the day counter on my incubator changed to 21, I heard little tiny peeps and the humidity went up by 1%, about 10 minutes later and it's still going at it!

Yes, there is quite a bit, but the temp. in my room is at about 60 F, so it would do that.
