With feed prices what they are now I'd like to cut waste down to next to none.
Anyone using no waste bucket feeders for various age chicks?
I've saw a couple threads and have some ideas but the threads don't have much details about the build or if they ultimately worked well.
Ideas are good but wanting to hear about others success or fails before wasting buckets or buying pvc fittings.
So lets hear what's worked or what hasn't and why.

I build them and sell them. They work great. Cut my feed costs into about 1/10 of what they were with a regular commercial feeder. I’m planning on building some smaller ones for my biddies and quail soon.
No pics? No details?
Just wanted to stop in and tell us about making money?

Your original post described something with buckets and PVC fittings. So I think it would be reasonable to assume I’m talking about what you described, right?
Ya you're talking but not saying anything.
I think it would be reasonable to assume you're not here to be helpful in any way.
Thanks for your participation.

How many chicks? Just curious...

Never used buckets.

IDK. 30 or so when they're young.
Maybe 50 or 60 when they're older juveniles.
I was figuring on more then one feeder per brooder.
Too many for me! 😁

Mine do get crumbles, but for me, I have a little less waste when giving wet mash - but...I do only give small amounts at a time, refilling as needed, but I use cups that hang on the fencing.
That wouldn't work for that many chicks...
