No Yolk?

Tonight I found a tiny egg in the nesting boxes. It was baout the size of a giant gobstopper or gumball. It was dark brown and was very bumpy. I intended to take a picture but guess what... I dropped it!!!

Anyway, what would cause there to be no yolk in an egg?

I took a picture of that...

Any idea? It had to have come from one of my RIR girls because the Polish lay white eggs of course.

ewww, that just looks really odd when you know there's supposed to be a yolk there! Is it possible it's a new layer?

Thanks, Minniechickmama. That would be it. She is about 2+ so I didn't think it was a first egg.
