Is that one showing any barring? If it is it is male.
Not necessarily, it depends on parentage.
The white head dot is always an indicator or barring.
In any bird with barring, it is the shape of the dot that tells the gender. Regardless of color or size.
The blurred edges indicate male.
 
So even if no barring it's a male?
If it was pure black, it'd be a female. A chick that is black with a white head dot is male.

This is only applicable to a barred female bred to a non barred male. That's how hatcheries create black sex links.
