Nobody cares on the incubating thread...(pics now...more pics pg 4)

That is alot to go.....they are so much fun and they will look up at you when you talk to them in the broder....i have one egg and i will put it in the bator soon...hopefully my button will lay more....i only have one hen...can not seem to get any other hens.....oh well..will have more soon...enjoy the rest of your hatch and good luck with your goose and duck eggs.....they are fun...........

The troubles have already begun on the ducks and geese! I can not get my humidity over 65% no matter what I do!!

that should be fine....mine was that and i hatch duckies all the time and they are in with chickens and they all do fine....my geese I believe was about that before the last three days....Hope that helps

I have no idea how I'm going to get the humidity up higher for the last 3 days! I have the bator in the bathroom so it can get some extra humidity from that.

are you sure your thing is reading correctly....what do you have in there for humidity....what kind of bator are you using and are vent plugs in or out. I always had to add sponges and wet socks they do not dry out asquick as sponges....the things we learn...I have only hatched 3 geese....i can not tell you how many duckies...what kind are you hatching and how are buttons doing they are so sweet...

If they're hatching ok, don't worry about the humidity too much... it's better to leave the incubator alone while they're hatching.

It's ok to leave them in there for about 24 hours, but no longer because they'll need water and food right away. As soon as they're dry I wait for break in the hatching to quickly pull the oldest ones out.

*sniff!* my grandquailies are hatching... always makes me tear up.

And yes... I have one white male (aka Special Ed, because he almost didn't make it past his first day birthday and looked like he was having issues), and several silvers.

Do you have any blue faced?? One of the chicks is very dark, almost black, like the other button I have was. It also looks like one is a normal, but the males of the normal color are gorgeous!!

My hygrometer is maybe 2 degrees off. I calibrated it before and it was either over by two or under by two. It is an LG (I know, I know!

), and all the troughs in the bottom are full, with paper towels wicking out of the biggest one in the middle. Plus there are 2 sponges and 2 washcloths in there that are soaked!! Maybe I just need to wait and see if it comes up!

The one the buttons are in has been running at a steady 70% for 4 days now, I kinda had my hatch day a bit off. But it has been holding steady, but it is also on the floor. Don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Mrs. AK--- I forgot to ask you to tell Mr AK I said 'HA!! So far I have 4!!

Oh those are very pretty too! Do you remember what they looked like as chicks? These two are yellow, but they seem like they have grey heads?
