I have a cornish (Speedy) and everytime I look at her feathers i think what nice flies i could tie with a few of those feathers. She is a most beautiful bird in my flock, also they first one to great me when i let them out each morning.
They may be a meat bird but once they have names how could i ever eat any of them

Be very careful what you name your "to be eaten" birds. The first time we got turkeys, my husband named them Lunch and Dinner. He wanted no sobbing scenes from our daughters when butchering time came. It worked, but turkeys are harder to love.

The next turkey was named Bob by our 4 year old granddaughter. She surprised us all with her reaction. She helped pluck feathers, all the while saying, "Bob's gonna taste good!" For months, she'd ask, "Do we have any more Bob in the freezer?"

your hooked, my 2 new goldens are so cute, my 1 yr old puppy thinks i bought her toys, but she can't play with them so it bothers her. As soon as they are a few months old I'll lay her down and let the chicks walk all over her, and peck her. I keep telling her they are cute but they are canibals so beware dog they'll eat you

LOL, how cute. My little Bichon turns into Kujo when he sees the chicks!!!!!
