Noise

I was thinking of getting peafowl just for the fun of it, but I have been doing research on peafowl for about 4 months and it says that peacocks get verey noisy in mating season around the ages of 2 to 3. is there any way to keep the quiet or quieter during mating season? Are different breeds quieter?

No, and no. If you are concerned about the noise I suggest that you get a different species.

... But real spaldings ... with 'scales' feathers in the neck!

If your worried about noise peafowl aren't for you! I was listening to mine call at 3 am this morning

My peacock was perched on the railing outside my bedroom window at 5 this morning. There's no sleeping thru their calls! But they are beautiful and not as noisy as the goats and sheep next door!
