Noises, pipping?

How long before expected hatch do you hear cheeping and see movement?

They start peeping when they break through the air sac. It can be before they pip the shell. Once pipped, it can take up to 24 hours to start zipping. Once they start zipping, it usually goes pretty fast.

Mine began hatching within 24 hours after seeing eggs rocking and hearing peeping. And it was a full 36 hours from first peep to end of hatch for me

My eggs are due this Friday. So should I start hearing noises tomorrow? Friday?

My second hatch this year and I hear peeping tonight! Tomorrow is Day 21. So if yours are due on Friday, then I would imagine you'd see movement and hear them by the night before (assuming temps have been consistent and haven't dipped, otherwise it could be longer). I'm getting excited, especially since 600 elementary kids know that their librarian has a chick due to hatch (long story) and want pictures, preferably Friday afternoon before I go in to work.
