Noisy Barred Rock

We had a BR and she was queen of the coop. She was extrememly talkative and definately the leader of the pack.

I have a very talkative BR. She was originally in the "big coop" with the other girls until one day she was sitting around all puffed up and the other girls were pecking the stuffing out of her til her comb was bloody. I moved her into the "little coop" to recouperate but the other ladies would never accept her back into the flock. Literally all 10 of them would attack her at once. She is now the top hen in the "little coop" (had to get more chickens to keep her company

) and always greets me with happy clucking. I even heard her purring the other day.
