Noisy momma

My momma hen cries so much, I’m afraid my neighbors are going to complain. She has lot of space, and different locations to check out during the day, and lots of food, but she still cries. I’m not sure what to do. Any suggestions for something I’m missing?

A video would be a big help. Chickens vocalize for many different reasons. They are actually saying something with these different vocalizations. If we see a video and you provide more contextual information (describe her circumstances when she sets to making a racket), we might be able to translate what she's trying to tell you.

Information needed:

How old is the hen?
Is she all alone or are there other chickens? How old and how many?
Does she lay eggs?
Is she cooped up all the time?
Is she actually a mama hen nurturing chicks?

She was my first chicken, we brought her andhe 6 babies home in March. Two of the babies went missing from the first run, so I built a new coop. The other four grew, two boys went back to the ranch. She has two grown daughters. We brought home 5 more motherless birds, 4 of them are roosters who go back to the ranch on Monday. I brought home another little hen so the one girl wouldn’t be alone.

Right now these 9 are in a coop with their own boxes at night, but have 60’ tunnel and a 20’ x 20’ fenced in Forest space to play in, so they don’t all have to be near each other. She is the bossy leader of the flock. She would like to be in my garden all day, but I’d like to eat some of my food too.

There is also a separate 20’x20’ run with a new mother hen and her 5 babies.

Hello! Did you ever find a solution? My neighbor has a couple of LOUD hens that make noise all day. I would love to hear if you did so I can go to them with ideas.
