Hi, I'm new to chicken raising and need some help..... My flock of 6 has been sneezing for a few weeks.... One started then the others... The only other symptom I could see were a few of them sounded horse... No swelling around face, no runny noses, no eye crust..... I decided to go with Tylan 50 injectables... So I've done that for 3 days.... They're coloring around their face is turning red, like its suppose too.... It's been pale and dry looking....it was cold and rainy yesterday so I put heat lamp in last night... I went out there this morning and 1 is still sneezing.... Should I continue the Tylan50 for 2 more days? They all seem to be underweight... Except my BR .. They are about 9 wks and 7 wks. I'm feeding Nutrena Medicated...but switched to non medicated while on antibotic.... They are all active...

Do they have worms?

I haven't seen any... I did safeguard in their water for a day bf I started the Tylan50..... Bc they were gaping... But that could've been from the RI.... My BR was gaping again this morning and holding head close to body.... They just started going outside two wks ago...

Safeguard is better administered directly to each bird. Continue with the full course of tylan .
This sounds like an upper respiratory thing. What type of bedding do they have and how old are they?

Well when this started I was using pine shavings and it was dry.... I have since switched to sand..... I love the sand... They are 9 and 7 wks..... So I need to do Tylan50 for 5 to 7 days?

X2. Get the liquid Safeguard for goats and dose each bird orally. Then you know for sure that each bird got exactly the dose it needs. Repeat the dose in 10 days. Dosing in the water is always a little iffy since birds may drink more or less in a 24 hour period based on temps, and if they aren't feeling well they'll drink less as well.

I agree that this is probably a respiratory bug they've come down with. The one that is still sneezing is probably just one of the last ones to get it. So continue the Tylan for 5 days.

Couldn't have said it better myself.
The pine shavings may have been a bit dusty, now that they are on sand and once they have finished their course of antibiotics, things should look a lot brighter.
